Moxie is our trusted lead dog - here she is leading a six dog team in 2007 with her daughter, Mahoosuc.

Kids and her puppies made Moxie the happiest she could be.

Moxie is a free spirit but is a real people person. She's in almost constant motion, going from kissing to playing to investigating back to kissing. She loves kids and can't seem to get enough of them.

She easily won her Championship in July of 2003 at only 8 months of age. She quickly moved from the show ring to the trail and led the GreatMountain team down the trail in her first season of mushing! Heading back into the show ring, she easily earned her Grand Championship, throwing in a National Specialty win in the Champion class for good measure! She is also now the primary lead dog on our team.

On April 19, 2005, Moxie gave birth to five healthy puppies - four boys and one girl. The girl, Mahoosuc, has stayed on in our pack. The boys have spread across the country, but Moxie will continue to be able to visit with most of them. Moxie was the best mom we've ever had here at GreatMountain. She just loved her puppies so much.
